MongoDB Query Language (MQL) Diagnostic Commands

Diagnostic commands report the status, configuration, and version information of a DocumentDB server. Use them to inspect the topology, confirm connectivity, and determine which version of the DocumentDB engine you are connected to.

hello

The hello command returns information about the DocumentDB server, including topology role, wire protocol limits, and the DocumentDB engine version.
